Mother-daughter coffee shop The Remnant opening in downtown Marion


Earlier this year, Jamie and Abigail Riffe were at a crossroads in their lives. 

Jamie was staying at home after leaving her job at Fahey Bank, while her daughter had recently graduated from Ohio Christian University and was thinking about going into nonprofit work. 

As Jamie started a charcuterie business, the two talked about opening a charcuterie shop, which then morphed into discussions about a coffee shop.
