Craving some Friends inspired treats or do you have a pint of Serendipity Brands “Friends” ice cream in the freezer for the Friends Reunion? While many people have been counting the days till that HBO Max Friends reunion premiere, the special event is not complete without a sweet treat. Even though the doors of Central Perk might be closed, there are many food ideas that can enjoyed from the home couch.

Recently, Serendipity’s Chef Joe Calderone has shared some recipes featuring the Friends Central Perk Almond Fudge. Available online as well as various retailers including Wawa and Stop & Shop, that ice cream can be transformed into some tasty treats. Although, no one will judge if the someone eats the ice cream straight from the pint.

The two recipes that have been shared build off some iconic images and themes from the infamous show. Everyone knows that coffee and Friends were a classic pair. Even if the classic coffee shop scene has never aged, this recipe for the Central Perk Affogato offers a new twist on the classic ice cream and coffee pairing.

Adding a little Bailey’s, this version is only for the adults. And, with the addition of biscotti cookies, there is a little whimsy, too. Sometimes a little fun with food is always a good choice.

Here’s how to make the Central Perk Affogato.

Ingredients:

  • 1 large scoop of Serendipity Brands “Friends” ice cream
  • 1 shot (2 ounces) of strong, hot espresso coffee
  • 1 ounce of Bailey’s Irish Cream
  • Whipped cream
  • 1 tablespoon of shaved dark chocolate
  • Biscotti cookie (optional)

Directions:

  • Place large scoop of ice cream into a glass mug or small glass bowl (we use glass so that the swirls of ice cream, coffee and liqueur can be seen)
  • Pour shot of espresso over the ice cream
  • Drizzle Bailey’s Irish Cream over ice cream and coffee
  • Top with whipped cream
  • Garnish with shaved dark chocolate
  • Finish off with a Biscotti (optional)
  • Enjoy!

Do you remember that iconic photo of all the “Friends” sharing a milkshake? This dessert recipe offers an adult spin on that classic ice cream float. In a way, it is almost a combination of an egg cream and ice cream cocktail.

And, the flavor has a nice nod to Central Perk, again. The use of coffee liquor is a nice choice.

Here’s how to make Fizzy Friends Kahlua Ice Cream Float:

Ingredients:

  • 1 large scoop of Serendipity Brands “Friends” ice cream
  • 1 shot (2 ounces) of Kahlua Coffee liqueur or any coffee liqueur
  • 2 tablespoons of melted chocolate or chocolate sauce
  • 6 oz of seltzer or club soda

Directions:

  • Place a large scoop of ice cream into a 16oz. glass or glass mug
  • Pour Kahlua over ice cream
  • Drizzle chocolate sauce over ice cream and Kahlua
  • Top with seltzer or club soda
  • Add dessert spoon and straws
