Crust Stone Oven Pizza in Bettendorf closed its doors in December of last year due to the negative effects the COVID-19 pandemic has had on businesses. 6 months later, a new local coffee shop has opened its doors in a part of the old Crust building. The new name of the coffee shop is Coffee Apothecary. Indy Roaster Tinker Coffee Not Fiddling Around, Opens First Two BarsDaily Coffee News by Roast Magazine

Indianapolis-based roasting company Tinker Coffee has gotten right down to business with its first forays into retail, opening two new coffee bars within the past month, with a third on the way.

The company opened its first coffee shop in a 900-square-foot space on Concourse B of Indianapolis International Airport. The soft opening of Tinker’s second location, a station inside the new AMP marketplace at 16 Tech in Riverside, followed soon after. Another airport location is scheduled to open later this year.

Valor Coffee Boldly Opens New Roastery and HQ North of Atlanta

Braving the unfriendly business climate of 2020, Valor Coffee has dared to open a new coffee roastery and business headquarters in the North Atlanta suburb of Alpharetta.

The roastery opening is just the latest challenge accepted by Valor Coffee’s three owners, who each caught the coffee bug as high school friends before launching the business as late-stage teenagers in 2016.

Thomas Hammer opens new coffee shop on the South Hill


Since founding Thomas Hammer Coffee Roasters 28 years ago, owner Thomas Hammer envisioned opening a coffee shop on the South Hill.

“We’ve been looking for a location on the South Hill for that long,” Hammer said. “We made an agreement with ourselves if we came to the South Hill, we were going to do it right.”
