The long-awaited West Palm Beach location of True Food Kitchen is set to open at Rosemary Square at the end of July.

The health-minded national chain restaurant co-founded by wellness guru Dr. Andrew Weil was expected to debut in the fall of 2019. That announcement was made months earlier, when the plaza was known as CityPlace.

The upscale-casual, holistic foods eatery, which opens July 30, takes over the former Restoration Hardware store space, across from the Tommy Bahama shop. The space features indoor and outdoor dining areas and a menu inspired by Weil’s devotion to anti-inflammatory foods.

But don’t expect a strictly vegan or vegetarian menu. Yes, there are plenty of options for those who follow plant-based, gluten-free, keto and paleo diets, but carnivores will find no shortage of meaty bites.

The restaurant’s menu offers organic salads, vegan soups and starters, pizzas, sandwiches and grass-fed beef burgers. Entrees range from grilled sustainable salmon to lasagna Bolognese. Add to that desserts, fresh-pressed juices, wine, beer, craft cocktails and weekend brunch.

True Food Kitchen adds to Rosemary Square’s increasing healthy options. The restaurant joins fit-minded newcomers Pura Vida, which opened in December 2020, and Planta, a stylish vegan spot that debuted in March.

Grass-fed steak tacos are on the menu at True Food Kitchen, the national chain co-founded by wellness guru Dr. Andrew Weil.

How many True Food Kitchen locations are there?

This is True Food’s second Palm Beach County restaurant. The chain, which opened an outpost in Boca Raton in early 2018, also has locations in Naples and Jacksonville with others set to open next year in Miami and Tampa.

Dr. Weil and business partner Sam Fox, an Arizona restaurateur, opened the first True Food Kitchen in Phoenix in October 2008. Today, the chain has locations in 17 states.
