- In a large bowl, mix the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. 
- Place the buttermilk in another bowl. 
- Dip each piece of chicken in the buttermilk, then dredge in the seasoned flour mixture, making sure to coat the chicken well. 
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or deep fryer to 350°F (175°C). 
- Carefully place the coated chicken pieces into the hot oil and fry for about 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown and fully cooked, turning occasionally. 
- Once done, remove the chicken from the oil and place it on a wire rack to drain. 
- Serve the crispy fried chicken hot with your favourite sides.
