Peanut Milk Recipe

Discover the creamy and nutritious alternative to dairy milk with Peanut Milk. Made from roasted peanuts, it's a great source of protein
Prep Time 4 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup  of raw peanuts
  • 4 cups of water
  • Optional: sweeteners like honey, maple syrup, or dates
  • Optional: flavourings like vanilla extract or cocoa powder

Instructions

  • Begin by soaking the raw peanuts in water for at least 4 hours or overnight. This step helps soften the peanuts and makes them easier to blend. Once soaked, drain and rinse the peanuts.
  • Transfer the soaked peanuts to a blender and add 4 cups of fresh water. Blend on high speed until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
  • Next, strain the blended mixture using a nut milk bag, cheesecloth, or fine-mesh strainer. Squeeze out as much liquid as possible, leaving behind the solids.
  • You can sweeten your peanut milk by adding honey, maple syrup, or dates if desired. Start with a small amount and adjust to taste, blending again to incorporate the sweetener.
  • To enhance the flavour of your peanut milk, consider adding a splash of vanilla extract or a teaspoon of cocoa powder.
  • Pour the freshly made peanut milk into a clean glass jar or bottle and refrigerate. It can last for up to 4-5 days when stored properly.
