Preheat the oven to 350°F.
In a large mixing bowl, combine half of the dry cake mix, butter, vanilla, and eggs and beat until smooth
Incorporate the remaining cake mix, almonds, and chocolate chips.
Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet, about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are firm
Allow to cool for 1 minute before transferring to a wire rack.
