Preheat your oven to 350°F.
Make sure a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan is well-greased.
Using a 5-quart mixing bowl, combine the first five ingredients, then add eggs, sugar, pumpkin, and oil and beat until blended, then add the nuts and raisins
The batter should be poured into the prepared loaf pan and baked for 70 minutes or until a pick inserted into the centre comes clean.
After cooling in the pan for 10 minutes, remove from the pan and continue cooling on the wire rack.
