Ingredients:
- 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:
Heat the oil in a pan and add the cumin seeds. Once they start to splutter, add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a few minutes until the raw smell disappears.
Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn mushy.
Add the turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and garam masala. Mix well and cook for a few minutes.
Add the chicken pieces and yoghurt. Mix well to coat the chicken with the spices.
Cover and cook on medium heat until the chicken is tender and the gravy thickens.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with naan or rice.
