People who enjoy a plant-based diet like vegetarians and vegans or take fish as their only source of meat are considerably less likely to contract severe Covid-19, a new study has found.

According to the findings published in The BMJ Nutrition, Prevention and Health, which examined data from healthcare workers across six countries including the UK, people who follow a plant-based diet are 73 per cent less likely to be hit by coronavirus while self-declared pescatarians were 59 per cent less likely to become ill than those who eat red and white meat.

My husband eats meat. I don’t. It can get surprisingly complicated.

Food was at the heart of my courtship with my now-husband Ben. We traipsed New York City in search of the best slice, signed up for macaroni and cheese festivals, and, later, he’d delight (sometimes) in my vegetarian cooking. Even now, he’ll request a Beyond Meat burrito for dinner.

While we both love food, we don’t see eye to eye on the ethics behind it or, perhaps better put, I have a real passion for the environmental and humane aspects behind my eating, while his take is more along the lines of, “I love hot dogs.”

In 2019, she created this coffee soda using flash-brewed iced coffee and adding carbonation, plus a bit of sugar and a pinch of salt. Refreshing on its own, it also makes a great mixer. Spiller Park used it to make their java cream, a rich combination of coffee and chocolate, and Glasky created a holiday cocktail featuring curacao, apple brandy, and her soda. Here is a list of coffee shops that offer cold brew and nitro coffee in Pittsburgh

Update: We’ve got more to add to this list! Thanks for all of the suggestions, we are working on updating this list.

A note about this list: this list starts from a sad place. When I started to search for cold brew coffee in Pittsburgh, I discovered that many of the places that were mentioned in other stories have now closed, likely a result of the pandemic. As much as I found the name 21st Street Coffee confusing
